Q. What can I expect to receive from a consultation?
You will receive independent, impartial, and up-to-date information pertaining to your specific concerns, and a general overview of surgical procedures, new technologies, and skincare. Wendy Lewis offers the benefit of her inside knowledge gathered during a career spanning over two decades in the cosmetic surgery and skin care industry. She has counseled thousands of women and men about all forms of cosmetic enhancement procedures, both surgical and non-surgical.
Your consultation will include advice about techniques, planning, recovery, budgeting, scheduling, and potential pitfalls. Wendy personally prepares a list of questions specific to your situation to ask prospective practitioners and professionals during your consultations.
Q. How do I know if a consultation is right for my personal situation?
Clients consult with Wendy for any number of reasons:
- To develop a strategic approach to finding a qualified doctor or specialist;
- To avoid spending thousands of dollars on too many unstructured consultation visits;
- To find a doctor with a very specific approach to a particular type of surgery;
- To find the right doctor for a revisionary procedure;
- To educate themselves before entrusting their face or body to a doctor they found on the Internet.
- To seek an expert opinion on how to select from the list of doctors they have already visited;
- To streamline the image enhancement process from start to finish.
Q. Can I discuss more than one procedure during my consultation?
Consultations are an hour long, and you may discuss any procedures you wish during that time. To maximize your time, you may wish to give Wendy an overview of your areas of concern, so she can structure your consultation accordingly.
Q. Will Wendy provide a list of doctors and aesthetic specialists in consultation?
On request, we will provide a fully customized list of several recommendations for prospective surgeons, doctors, dentists or beauty professionals in the geographic market(s) identified by you. It is not unusual for a client to request recommendations in several cities or countries for the same or different procedures or treatments.
Q. Do I get the same recommendations as everyone else?
Wendy Lewis & Co, Ltd. does not have a fixed list of clinics or practitioners that we consider “the best.” Our recommendations are strictly based on the individual specifications of each client, and the reputation of the doctors, clinics or practitioners. The best doctor or procedure for your friend is not necessarily the best one for you.
Q. Does Wendy have any financial interest in which doctor I choose?
Not at all. The choice to undergo surgery or seek any aesthetic procedure is strictly up to you. Wendy Lewis & Co Ltd has no vested interest in your decision, either way. Recommendations to physicians or practitioners do not constitute an endorsement, nor do they imply an affiliation with Wendy Lewis & Co Ltd. Because Wendy Lewis & Co Ltd is not a referral agency and is not connected with any doctors, dentists or clinics, you can expect to pay the customary consultation fee to each practitioner you choose to see.
Q. How many doctors should I see to feel confident before having surgery?
No one can choose the “perfect” doctor for you. We are only able to make suggestions and recommendations which, in our opinion, might best suit your needs. Ultimately, the choice is yours and yours alone. You are encouraged to see several practitioners in consultation to make your final decision. If you are considering surgery, 2 should be considered mandatory; 3 or more is typical.
Q. How do phone consultations work?
Once the date and time is arranged and a credit card is taken in advance, you will be asked to call our offices to begin your consultation. For phone consultations, it is generally advisable to forward photographs in advance of your appointment, specifically for facial, eyelid, brow, and nasal procedures, to ensure that you receive a more comprehensive consultation. If you choose to send photos by mail rather than via email, they will be returned to you in a timely fashion. If you are planning to have body work, a photograph is not required. Follow-up can be done via email.

The decision to schedule a or phone consultation is completely based on your preference and comfort level. consultations are generally held once a month in Wendy’s New York office and four times a year in London. Phone consultations provide the flexibility to speak with Wendy from anywhere in the world. Men and women with busy travel and work schedules tend to prefer this option. We will do our best to accommodate your time constraints when booking an appointment.
Q. Is there a long wait-list to see Wendy?
Wendy travels several times every month which will determine the waiting time for an appointment. Consultations do fill quickly, so it is best to book as soon as you have your travel arrangements in order, or you have set a time frame for yourself in which you plan to undergo surgery.
Q. Does Wendy see clients in any locations other than New York and London?
Wendy travels internationally throughout the year for medical conferences, speaking engagements and television appearances. On occasion, she will see clients in these destinations. Please check CONSULTATION DATES to find out if Wendy will be visiting your city in the near future.
Q. I don’t think I will need the full hour. Do you offer half-hour consultations?
We do not offer partial hour consultations. Wendy’s role as a consumer advocate is to help clients sift through the numerous questions that arise in the pre- and post-surgical process. Even clients who believe they only have a few questions find that they require more time than they thought to have a comprehensive discussion and feel adequately prepared to move into the next phase.
Q. Can I bring a friend or partner to the consultation?
Many clients prefer to bring someone along for moral support, which is perfectly acceptable. However, please note that the consultation fee covers one consultation. If the individual you choose to bring has questions, he or she will need to schedule a separate consultation.
Q. Must I provide my credit card at the time of booking a consultation?
Due to the volume of client inquiries and the demands of Wendy’s schedule, we cannot hold a consultation unless you provide a credit card as security at the time of booking. You will not be charged for your consultation until approximately a week prior to the consultation date. If you cancel within the appropriate time, you will not be charged. We cannot make exceptions to this policy.
